此限量版是為了紀念20世紀最有影響力的藝術家之一克勞德•莫奈（Claude Monet（1840-1926））。他是一位才華橫溢的藝術家，以創立法國印象派運動而享譽全球，此限量版是對他的一幅著名畫作《印象•日出》的致敬。
《印象•日出》是1872年11月13日繪製的，被稱為印象派畫家的第一幅作品，同年，西蒙•蒂索特•杜邦（Simon Tissot-Dupont）創立了【S.T.Dupont】。為了向同時誕生的莫奈偉大作品致敬，這款書寫工具限量1872套，每支筆筆夾側面均有限量編號，中間筆環位置有莫奈簽名和天然漆的葉子標章符號使用與原畫中相同的天然顏料進行複製，手工一層層塗上天然漆，在筆蓋上重現《印象•日出》，帶你領略最純粹的自然風景，捕捉光與影交織的變化。
